Recovering from a foot or ankle injury takes steady, controlled support. The Aircast® AirSelect™ Short is a pneumatic CAM walker boot that surrounds the forefoot, mid-foot and hind-foot with a semi-rigid protective shell and adjustable aircells, so the injury stays protected while you keep walking. Available in four sizes for the left or right foot.

How to Wear It

1. Release the air from the aircells and undo all of the straps, then open the shell.
2. Sit down and place your foot on the liner with your heel pushed fully back into the boot.
3. Wrap the liner around your foot and lower leg, then close the shell over it.
4. Fasten the straps from the foot upward, snug but not tight.
5. Inflate the aircells with the hand pump until the boot feels firm and supportive. Release air if it feels too tight.
6. Check your toes after a few minutes. Numbness, tingling or colour change means release some air and loosen the straps.

Wear the boot for as long as your clinician has advised, including the guidance they give on weight bearing.

How to Choose Your Size

Sizing follows your everyday shoe size, not the injured foot's measurement. If you are between sizes, choose the larger one.

• The liner and insole are removable. Hand wash the liner in cold water with a mild soap and air dry it fully before refitting.
• Wipe the shell with a damp cloth. Do not put the shell in a washing machine or dishwasher.
• Wear a clean sock inside the boot to keep the liner fresh.
• Check the straps and aircells regularly for wear, and replace the liner if it flattens out.

This is the AirSelect Short, built for forefoot, mid-foot, hind-foot and some ankle injuries. The taller AirSelect Standard and Elite cover higher ankle and lower-leg injuries.

Can it be worn on either foot?
Yes. The same boot fits the left or right foot, so you only choose a size.

How do I choose a size?
