The DARCO Med-Surg Shoe in Black Square-Toe design for Men’s X-Large size (12.5–14) is a versatile post-operative footwear solution designed to support recovery following foot surgery, trauma, or related medical conditions. This med-surg shoe features a square-toe design that acts as a protective bumper, offering additional safeguarding when K-wires or similar surgical elements are present. The rigid structure of the shoe, combined with metatarsal shank protection, helps provide improved control under the metatarsal heads, reducing strain on the forefoot area. The rocker sole design further assists in reducing plantar pressure on both the forefoot and heel, helping improve walking comfort and stability during recovery.

The insole system is fully customizable, featuring a double-padded removable insole that can be adjusted based on patient needs. It is also compatible with Pegassist off-loading insoles, allowing for additional pressure redistribution when required.
