Product Overview

The McKesson Transfer Pipette is a non-sterile, single-use plastic pipette designed for routine liquid transfer in laboratory and clinical workflows. Built as a one-piece component from low-density polyethylene (LDPE), it is intended to handle small-volume transfers without the brittleness of glass equivalents — the LDPE construction will not shatter or break with normal handling.

The pipette has a total capacity of 7.5 mL with a usable draw volume of 3 mL, and is graduated in 0.5 mL increments from 0.5 to 3 mL. The graduations support quick visual measurement at the bench for tasks that don’t require analytical-grade volumetric accuracy, such as transferring reagents, decanting supernatants, or aliquoting non-critical samples.

The one-piece molded design eliminates seams or fittings that could trap residue, simplifying handling between samples. Because the pipette is plain (additive-free) and supplied non-sterile, it is well suited to general lab use where sterility is not required — chemical mixing, dilution prep, gel loading prep, and routine fluid handling.

Each pipette is a disposable, single-use item, supporting cross-contamination control by avoiding the need for cleaning between samples. The flexible LDPE bulb provides controlled draw and dispense pressure, giving lab staff a familiar feel during repetitive transfer steps.
