Unimom Minuet Double Electric Breast Pump features a massage (stimulation) mode and an expression mode. In massage mode, the suction is fast and light; in expression mode, it’s slower and deeper. This button allows you to toggle between the two modes.

Minuet's massage mode will stimulate the nerves in the breasts, which signals the release of a hormone called oxytocin. The release of oxytocin will make the small muscles that surround the milk-producing tissue to contract. This contracting of the tissue will squeeze milk into your ducts. Let down typically takes two minutes to occur.

Once you get your let-down on massage mode, switch to expression mode. The time it takes to achieve let-down will vary from mom to mom: for some it takes 30 seconds, others 5 minutes. Relax, breathe, and think of your little one—it will happen before you know it.

To provide the best milk for your little one and maintain your milk supply, it’s important to experience both phases during each pumping session. It can sometimes be difficult to experience let down when you are away from your baby. Thankfully, Minuet's specially designed massage & expression modes make that process so easy, that you can always be relaxed.

Simply turn it on, leave it on massage mode for the first 2 minutes, turning the level up to where is comfortable. Once let down is achieved, switch to expression mode and turn the level up to where is comfortable. Once your milk flow slows down, you can change back to massage mode to try and achieve another letdown.
