The SAM Pelvic Sling II Emergency Pelvic Binder is a force-controlled circumferential pelvic belt designed for rapid stabilization of the pelvis in emergency and trauma care settings. It is intended for use when immediate pelvic compression is required, helping support patients during transport, imaging, and early clinical intervention. The one-piece optimized design allows for quick application while maintaining consistent and controlled compression around the pelvic region.

A key functional element of this pelvic binder is the patented AUTOSTOP buckle, which is designed to help avoid over-tightening or under-tightening during application. Once the optimal compressive force is reached, the buckle’s two prongs activate and produce an audible click, confirming correct placement and tension. This feedback mechanism supports consistent application, even in high-stress emergency environments. The sling is further secured using a hook and loop strap system, helping maintain proper positioning during patient movement.

The sling is engineered with patient comfort and durability in mind. Its non-stretch fabric construction is designed to withstand extreme temperatures and exposure to hard or sharp objects while remaining comfortable for extended durations of use. The front of the sling is narrow and tapered, allowing access for urinary catheterization, interventional radiology, external fixation, and abdominal surgical procedures without requiring removal.
