The Steri-Strip™ Reinforced Skin Closure Strip by Solventum is a sterile, latex-free wound-closure tape used to approximate skin edges after lacerations, surgical incisions, and minor procedures. In this 1/4 x 4 inch white reinforced configuration, the strip provides a low-profile, atraumatic alternative to sutures and staples for clean, low-tension wounds where reliable edge approximation matters.

Each strip is built on a porous, non-woven backing coated with a pressure-sensitive, hypoallergenic adhesive that holds securely on prepped skin while remaining gentle to remove during follow-up care. Embedded polyester filaments reinforce the length of the strip, helping it resist stretching and curling under wound tension — especially useful across joints and high-mobility areas.

Compared to sutures and staples, Steri-Strip closures can mean less scarring, improved patient comfort, and a lower risk of suture-tract infection because nothing penetrates the skin. Patients also benefit from a quicker, less anxiety-provoking application in emergency departments, urgent care, primary care, and post-op clinics, with fewer follow-up visits dedicated solely to suture or staple removal.
