The 3M Scotchcast Quick Step splint roll is a padded fiberglass splinting roll with breathable felt on both sides, 3 inches wide and 15 feet long. Felt on both sides helps eliminate the risk of wrong-side application while padding and protecting the patient's injury. Water-repellent technology sheds water off the splint to help keep the skin dry and reduce the risk of skin maceration, and the 7-layer fiberglass interior conforms around the bends and curves of the body better than one unified layer. It sets in 3 to 4 minutes and is sold as a case of 2 rolls.
