Product Description

The Aircast AirSport ankle brace combines a clinically proven semi-rigid shell with aircells to give the ankle comfort and support. Additional compression and stabilization come from an anterior talofibular cross strap and integral forefoot and shin wraps. Its unique step-in design, where the toes go in first through the back of the brace, plus automatic heel adjustment make the AirSport extremely fast and easy to put on. It is indicated for ankle sprain, chronic instability and prophylaxis (helping protect the ankle from injury), and comes in five sizes for the left or right foot.

Key Features

  • Semi-rigid shell with aircells: clinically proven support with air cushioning for comfort.
  • Cross strap: an anterior talofibular cross strap adds compression and stabilization.
  • Forefoot and shin wraps: integral wraps add more compression and hold.
  • Step-in design: toes first through the back of the brace, with automatic heel adjustment.
  • Left or right: sold by side in sizes X-Small to X-Large.

Wearing an Ankle Brace After a Sprain

A semi rigid ankle brace like the AirSport supports the ankle while still letting you walk. To put it on, slide your toes into the back of the brace, let the heel settle into place, then wrap and fasten the forefoot and shin straps and the cross strap so the brace feels snug but not tight. How long to wear an ankle brace for sprain recovery depends on the injury, so follow the plan from your doctor or physical therapist, who may also suggest wearing it during sport to help protect a weak ankle.

Who Is It For?

Athletes and active adults with an ankle sprain or chronic ankle instability, and anyone whose clinician recommends an Aircast ankle brace for protection during activity. Also see the Aircast Air-Stirrup ankle brace, the Aircast Cryo/Cuff ankle cold therapy system or the McKesson lace-up ankle brace.
