Product Overview

The DermaGinate Calcium Alginate Dressing is a sterile, highly absorbent wound dressing designed for moderate to highly exuding wounds. Made from natural calcium alginate fibers, it is suited for use across hospital, long-term care, home health, and outpatient wound clinics where dependable exudate management is essential.

On contact with wound moisture, DermaGinate fibers convert into a soft, moist gel that fills the wound cavity and helps maintain a moist healing environment. This gelling action supports autolytic debridement, helps reduce dressing change frequency, and contributes to a more comfortable change experience for patients with sensitive wound beds.

The dressing conforms readily to a variety of wound shapes, making it useful in pressure injuries, venous leg ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, donor sites, surgical wounds healing by secondary intention, and traumatic abrasions. The 4-1/4 by 4-1/4 inch square format gives wound care clinicians an easy-to-cut, easy-to-place option for medium-sized wound openings.

Sterile and supplied as a single dressing per pack, DermaGinate is FSA eligible and HCPCS A6197 reimbursable, making it a practical choice for wound care nurses and patients alike. Use with an appropriate secondary dressing such as a film, foam, or gauze cover to complete the wound care regimen.

If you don't report the damage upon delivery, unfortunately, we won't be able to organize return shipping, and you'll be responsible for all the associated costs.

Returns Due to Change of Heart: Changed your mind? No worries! You have 30 days to return the unused product in its original packaging. You'll cover the return shipping, and once we get it back, we'll refund the product price, minus the shipping cost.
