The Chattanooga ColPac black polyurethane cold pack delivers up to 30 minutes of soothing relief from acute pain, swelling and fever. Each pack is filled with a non-toxic silica gel that remains pliable throughout treatment, so it shapes to the body while it is cold. The pack is latex free. ColPac comes in seven sizes of blue vinyl and four sizes of black polyurethane so there is a pack for any body area or shape; this listing offers the four black polyurethane sizes: standard, cervical, oversize and half size.

Using a ColPac Ice Pack

A ColPac ice pack is ready when it is chilled, so keep packs cold between treatments, for example in a ColPac chilling unit. Choose the size that matches the area: the cervical pack is shaped for the neck, the half size suits smaller areas, and the oversize pack covers larger areas such as the back. Always place a cover or towel between the pack and the skin, and follow your clinician's advice for how long to apply it. Check the skin during treatment and stop if it becomes painful or numb. After use, wipe the pack clean and return it to cold storage so it is ready for the next patient.
