Product Description

The McKesson Dorsal Night Splint is designed to provide controlled foot and ankle positioning during sleep for adult users who experience discomfort related to plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonitis, or other conditions requiring stabilization of the ankle in a neutral position. By holding the foot at approximately a 90-degree angle, the splint helps stretch the toes upward to achieve dorsiflexion, which may assist in reducing morning pain and stiffness commonly associated with these conditions.

This low-profile dorsal splint offers an alternative to traditional bulky boot-style night splints. Its open heel and open toe design helps reduce heat retention, allowing for improved comfort throughout the night and making it suitable for stomach and side sleepers. The lightweight, sturdy, one-piece flexible shell is contoured to fit along the shin and top of the foot, providing structured support while maintaining a more natural sleeping position.

The splint features a soft, padded thermoplastic dorsal shell that helps maintain neutral foot positioning while delivering a moderate, consistent stretch. A two-strap system with hook and loop closures secures the splint at the calf and foot, allowing for easy application and removal. The slide-in foot loop simplifies setup, while the adjustable straps help achieve and maintain effective dorsiflexion. Limited, safe ambulation may be possible when necessary, though it is not intended for everyday walking.

Designed for unisex use, the McKesson Dorsal Night Splint fits either the right or left foot and accommodates a wide range of shoe sizes. The splint is not made with natural rubber latex and features a plastic-free bottom. It is easy to maintain by wiping clean with warm water and hanging to dry.
