The PDC Healthcare DataMate® Identification Wristband with Extender is an adult patient ID wristband designed for use in environments where wrist circumference may exceed standard sizing or where larger wear is required. The kit pairs the primary band with an extender, simplifying patient identification for bariatric patients, swollen extremities, and other clinical scenarios where a longer length is necessary.

The wristband features a clear, fold-over protective window that shields the printed ID label from moisture, friction, and adhesive contact. This is engineered to keep the patient identifier readable through bathing, IV starts, and routine handling — a meaningful detail when accurate identification at the band is the safety check that prevents medication and procedure errors.

The label area accepts both linear and 2D bar codes, making the band compatible with bedside scanning workflows used by EHR-integrated medication administration and lab-collection programs. Each set includes additional labels that let staff duplicate the patient identifier on charts, specimen tubes, or paperwork without re-typing.

The band is available with tamper-evident slits, which help promote patient safety by signaling if the band has been removed or replaced during the visit. TAA compliant.

Items Damaged During Shipping: If your product shows up damaged, make sure to note it when you get it and don't accept it, especially for big items. We'll only accept returns for defective products, and in those cases, we'll cover the return shipping. If you don't report the damage upon delivery, unfortunately, we won't be able to organize return shipping, and you'll be responsible for all the associated costs.

Returns Due to Change of Heart: Changed your mind? No worries! You have 30 days to return the unused product in its original packaging. You'll cover the return shipping, and once we get it back, we'll refund the product price, minus the shipping cost.
