Product Description

The Ortho Wedge Healing Shoe X-Large helps support recovery after foot surgery or trauma by reducing forefoot pressure and promoting a more supportive healing environment. For individuals managing forefoot wounds or ulcers, the design shifts body weight away from the sensitive front of the foot to ease strain during movement.

The 15-degree wedge sole angles each step so more weight is distributed to the midfoot and heel, minimizing stress on the forefoot. This is especially useful for post-surgery care and wound management. The square toe design acts as a protective bumper—particularly helpful when K-wires are present—and allows the shoe to be worn on either the left or right foot.

For stability, the ankle strap keeps the foot secure and helps reduce heel slippage and friction while walking. The adjustable forefoot closure offers a snug fit without buckle pressure. The zoned outsole includes a durable tread pattern positioned under the midfoot to improve traction and support safer movement.

Inside, the removable insole provides enhanced cushioning and can be replaced with the Darco Peg Assist insole for more customizable off-loading. Optional Peg-Assist insoles are available for additional support. Finished in black and sized for men’s 12 1/2 to 14, this shoe is designed to deliver dependable forefoot pressure relief during recovery.

Items Damaged During Shipping: If your product shows up damaged, make sure to note it when you get it and don't accept it, especially for big items. We'll only accept returns for defective products, and in those cases, we'll cover the return shipping. If you don't report the damage upon delivery, unfortunately, we won't be able to organize return shipping, and you'll be responsible for all the associated costs.

Returns Due to Change of Heart: Changed your mind? No worries! You have 30 days to return the unused product in its original packaging. You'll cover the return shipping, and once we get it back, we'll refund the product price, minus the shipping cost.
