Product Description

These cuff weights are double stitched exercise weights for the upper or lower extremities, made for rehab, home exercise programs and therapy clinics. Each weight has a hook and loop closure that wraps around the ankle or wrist, a heavy-duty vinyl cover, and is stamped with both pounds and kilograms so you can see the load at a glance. A hanging hole lets you store the weights neatly on a weight storage rack. Choose from 18 individual weights, from 1/4 lb up to 15 lb, and add a little resistance at a time as strength improves.

Key Features

  • Double stitched: built for repeated use on the upper or lower extremities.

How to Use Ankle and Wrist Weights

Wrap the cuff around the ankle or wrist, pull the strap snug and press the hook and loop closed so the weight cannot slide. For the legs, try seated knee extensions, standing hip abduction or straight-leg raises; for the arms, try shoulder raises and elbow curls. Start with a light weight such as 1/2 or 1 lb and add weight in small steps only when you can finish your sets with good form. Ankle and wrist weights are best used for slow, controlled exercises rather than running or fast swinging, and your physical therapist can tell you which weight to start with.

Who Is It For?

Physical therapy patients, older adults working on strength and balance, and clinics that need a full range of rehab cuff weights. Also see the deluxe cuff weight, the CanDo vinyl coated kettlebells and the dumbbell wall rack.
