TheraBand resistance tubing is resistive exercise tubing in seven color-coded levels that increase in difficulty from tan to silver. The TheraBand color coding system provides positive reinforcement and feedback for gauging results, because patients can see their progress as they move up through the colors. It is an excellent tool for hand rehabilitation, and because it comes on a roll you can cut the length each exercise needs. Choose a 25 foot patient roll for one person or a 100 foot clinical roll for a clinic, in tan, yellow, red, green, blue, black or silver. The tubing is made of natural rubber latex.

How to Use TheraBand Tubing

Cut a length of TheraBand tubing that suits the exercise, then tie a loop or wrap the ends around your hands. For hand rehab, squeeze and stretch short loops with the fingers; for other exercises, hold or anchor the tubing securely and pull slowly against the resistance. Start with a light color and move up a level when you can finish your sets with good form. Check the tubing for nicks before each use and replace it if it is damaged, and follow the program your therapist gives you.
