At the core of the system is the Aircast Arm Immobilizer, engineered to stabilize the arm in a comfortable position. Its innovative tri-strap design, which includes a back strap, shoulder strap, and under-arm strap, allows a customizable fit while maintaining desired forearm elevation and horizontal alignment. This design also restricts posterior arm mobility and off-loads pressure from the neck, reducing discomfort and enhancing support. The integrated hand guard ensures that the arm remains safely positioned, preventing inadvertent dropping during use. Breathable mesh fabric keeps the wearer cool and dry throughout extended wear, enhancing comfort without compromising support.
For cases where angled positioning is beneficial, the Abduction Pillow option positions the arm slightly away from the body, supporting conditions such as rotator cuff repairs, Bankart procedures, and other post-operative shoulder indications. Made from soft contoured foam, it provides gentle off-loading of the shoulder to facilitate recovery.
